Karen Irene Hilaman, 69, of Port Deposit, MD passed away on Friday, August 9, 2024. Born in Wilmington, DE on November 10, 1954, she was the daughter of Rosie Lloyd Potter and the late J.C. Potter.

Karen was a cashier at Acme, where she had worked for many years, always greeting customers with a smile. She loved spending time with her family, keeping up with friends on Facebook, and trying her luck with scratch-off tickets. One of her greatest joys was working side by side with her late husband on the rollback, sharing memorable moments together.

Survivors include her children, Lynn Pagan (Ryan), Fresno, CA, Kathy Hilaman-Manlove (Ron), Elkton, MD, Chris Hilaman (April), Port Deposit, MD, and Titus Neal, Coatesville, PA; grandchildren, Alejandro Rios, Olivia Lockett, Amber Manlove, Ronecia Manlove, D'Andre Manlove, Madison Hilaman, Colston Hilaman, Bryson Hilaman, James Hilaman, and Kashton Hilaman; great-grandchildren, Nathaniel Boyd, III and Catilina Blake; and siblings, Martha Bowling, Hartsville, SC, Jack Potter, Colora, MD, and Jimbo Potter, Christiana, PA.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Hilaman, Sr., son, James Hilaman, Jr., and siblings, Bonnie Rose Potter, Delmar Potter, and Debbie Reeves.

Funeral service will be held at a later date.
