Karen Ann Cole, 80, of Elkton, MD passed away on Saturday, November 23, 2024. Born in Elkton on February 9, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Elmer and Jessie Jermyn.

Karen retired as a Dietary Technician at Union Hospital after many years of devoted service. Prior to working at the hospital, she had been a caregiver for Dr. and Mrs. Pell as well as many others. Outside of her work, Karen had a deep love for reading and was also an avid gardener. Most of all, she cherished spending time with her family, and the moments they shared together were her greatest joy.

Survivors include her loving husband of 29 years, James "Gordy" Cole; daughter, Kimberly Williams Artrip (James), Elkton, MD; granddaughter, Amanda Artrip Wiles (Travis); great-granddaughters, Adeline Wiles and Delilah Wiles; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 2 sisters and 2 brothers.

Funeral service will be held 11:30 AM, Tuesday, December 3, 2024 at Hicks Home for Funerals, 103 W. Stockton Street, Elkton, MD 21921, with visitation beginning at 10:30 AM. Interment will be in Bethel Cemetery, Chesapeake City, MD.
