Joyce Louise Young, 87, of Port Deposit, MD passed away on Wednesday, January 28, 2026. Born in Chester Co, PA on April 21, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Grover H. Sr. and Violet Crampton Weaver.

Ms. Young worked for many years as an electronic assembler at W.L. Gore & Associates, where she was known for her dedication and strong work ethic. She had been a longtime member of Head of Christiana Presbyterian Church, Newark, DE. Ms. Young enjoyed reading a good book, shopping, watching movies, and cheering on the Baltimore Ravens. She had a generous heart and was always willing to help others through her charitable spirit. Above all, Ms. Young loved her family and treasured the time spent with them. Her kindness, warmth, and love will be remembered by all who knew her.

Survivors include her children: Tammi Lilly (Steve), Bonnie Walker (Larry Jr.) and Regina Koppenhaver (Brian); six grandchildren: John, Tyler, Karen, Kayla, Joshua, and Fedor; four great-grandchildren: Evie, Wesley, Caiden, and Kristina.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings; Grover H. Weaver Jr. and Donald Weaver Sr.

Funeral service will be held 12 PM, Friday, February 6, 2026, at Hicks Home for Funerals, 103 W. Stockton Street, Elkton, MD 21921, with visitation beginning at 11 AM. Interment will be private in Head of Christiana Cemetery.
