John Trimble Milburn, Sr., known to most as Pappy, 86, of Elkton, MD passed away on Tuesday, January 9, 2024. Born in Newark, DE on December 10, 1937, he was the son of the late John W. and Martha Trimble Milburn.

Mr. Milburn was a retired farmer, 3rd generation of Milburn Orchards, who enjoyed traveling the world, scuba diving, bird watching, gardening, and raising his guinea hens and chickens. He also had a soft spot for animals and a true love and respect for nature.

Survivors include his children, Jay Milburn (Ilene), Cassandra Taylor (Andy), Mark Milburn, Melinda Palmeri (Guy), David Milburn, all of Elkton, MD and Jason Milburn, Rising Sun, MD; 13 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; and brother, Evan B. Milburn, Elkton, MD.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Brenda J. Milburn; son, Richard Milburn; stepson, David Walker Milburn; and grandchildren, Cade Milburn and Christina Reiff.

Funeral service will be held 11AM, Monday, January 15, 2024 at Hicks Home for Funerals, 103 W. Stockton Street, Elkton, MD 21921, with visitation beginning at 10AM. Interment will be in Bethel Cemetery, Chesapeake City, MD.
