John S. Reilley, 68, of Elkton, MD, passed away Friday, March 18, 2016. Born in Queens, NY on August 19, 1947, he was the son of the late Stephen J. and Margaret Walsh Reilley.
Mr. Reilley served four years in the U.S. Navy including a tour in Vietnam followed by service in the U.S. Air Force Reserve for 20 years. He retired from the New York Police Department, moved to Maryland and was a senior parole officer for the State of Delaware. He loved being with his family, especially his grandchildren. Mr. Reilley was a member of Immaculate Conception Church and for many years was an umpire with Elkton Little League. He loved animals and was a proud patriot.
Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Juliana Reilley; children, Kerry Ann Corrigan (Leo), Downington, PA, Daniel Patrick Reilley (Clarissa), Elkton, MD and Erin Maureen Reilley, Perth, Australia; siblings, Margaret R. Krolak, West Palm Beach, FL and Stephen J. Reilley, Massapequa Park, NY and grandchildren, John Patrick Reilley, John Anthony "Jack" Corrigan, Nora Elizabeth Reilley, Thomas Francis Corrigan and William Paul Corrigan.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 12 noon, Wednesday, March 23, 2016 in Immaculate Conception Church, 454 Bow Street, Elkton, with visitation in the church chapel from 10:30 until 11:45a.m.. Interment with military honors will be in Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Cherry Hill, MD.
