John Wesley Poore, 42, of Elkton, MD passed away on Monday, January 29, 2024. Born in Elkton on November 12,1981, he was the son of Vicky Weddington and Wesley Poore.

Mr. Poore enjoyed spending time with his son and family, reading, walking, collecting baseball cards, and working on small engines.

In addition to his parents, survivors include his son, Jaxson Murson, Elkton, MD; siblings, Chassidy Poore, Bobby Poore, Jeff Poore, Makayla Poore, all of Elkton, MD, Eric Poore, Aptos, CA, Michelle Opdahl, Corapolis, PA, Jacob Poore, TX, Jimmy George, Perryville, MD, and Ashley Crossley, Germantown, MD.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Gary Snow; grandmother, Shirley Poore; and uncle, Jeff Poore.

Visitation will be held from 2:30 PM – 4:00 PM, Friday, February 16, 2024 at Hicks Home for Funerals, 103 W. Stockton Street, Elkton, MD 21921. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hicks Home for Funerals, P.A. to help defray funeral expenses.
