John Leinen Jodlbauer, 74, of Elkton, MD, passed away Saturday, February 24, 2024.  Born in Wilmington, DE on July 29, 1949, he was the son the late Julius Sr. and Hazel Kennedy Jodlbauer.

A U.S. Marine Corps veteran, Mr. Jodlbauer had been the manager of Jodlbauer Furniture Stores.  Memberships included American Legion Cecil Post #15, Elkton, 3rd Degree member of Knights of Columbus Bishop Becker Council, Elkton, Marine Corps League, Train Collectors Association, a charter member of the Elks Club and past-president of Kiwanis Club of Elkton.  He enjoyed operating his model trains.

Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Sharyn Hemphill Jodlbauer; sister, Carol Jodlbauer (Harlan Levey); brother-in-law, Frank Papp; sisters-in-law, Nancy Jodlbauer, Maribeth Hemphill and Donna Hemphill, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Jodlbauer was preceded in death by his brother, Julius Jodlbauer, Jr., sister, Betty Anne Papp, brothers-in-law, Patrick Hemphill and Kevin Hemphill and sister in law, Catherine Hemphill.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m., Thursday, February 29, 2024 at Immaculate Conception Church, 455 Bow Street, Elkton with visitation from 9:30 until 10:45 a.m..  Interment with military honors in Immaculate Conception Cemetery will follow mass.
