John "Jack" Clifton Patchell, 84, of Elkton, MD passed away on Thursday, May 16, 2024. Born in Elkton on March 11, 1940, he was the son of the late George Clifton and Myra Adelaide Everett Patchell.

Mr. Patchell retired after a 39-year career as a produce manager for Acme and was a longtime member of Union Methodist Church. An avid sports fan, Jack could often be found cheering on his favorite teams, but he particularly enjoyed spending quality time with his family and grandchildren, creating cherished memories. Jack also had a passion for gardening and yard work.

Survivors include his loving wife of 64 years, Helen Louise Holt Patchell; daughters, Kimberly Porte (Steve), North East, MD, and Linda Potts (Robby), Elkton, MD; grandchildren, Steven Porte, Kelly Porte, Kevin Potts (Johnelle), Kristen Potts, Christopher Potts (Kasee), and Ashley Potts; great-granddaughter, Isabella Gatewood; and siblings, Janet Ford, Joan Lombardo (Ed), both of Elkton, MD, Harry Patchell (Suzanne), Perryville, MD, and Margie McCardell (Alan), Rising Sun, MD.

Funeral service will be held 10:30 AM, Wednesday, May 22, 2024 at Hicks Home for Funerals, 103 W. Stockton Street, Elkton, MD 21921, with visitation beginning at 9:30 AM. Interment will be in Cherry Hill Methodist Cemetery, Cherry Hill, MD.
