John Walter Brown Jr., 51, of Rising Sun, MD passed away on Saturday, May 3, 2025. Born in Havre de Grace, MD on June 24, 1973, he was the son of Mary Carter Brown, Perryville, MD, and the late John Brown Sr.

John built a career in the construction industry, working independently as a specialist in computer-aided design and drafting. Outside of work, John led a life full of passion. He was a gifted musician who played in several local bands, sharing his love of music with the community and mentoring fellow musicians along the way. He also found great pleasure in riding motorcycles, painting, woodworking, and constantly learning. A lifelong learner, John was always exploring new ideas and skills, driven by an insatiable curiosity and love for life's details. He will be remembered for his generosity, his creative spirit, and the many lives he touched through music, mentorship, and friendship.

Survivors include his wife, Julianne Browne, Lancaster, PA; his children, John "Jack" Brown III, Michael Brown, both of Pennsylvania, and Alexandra Brown, of Tennessee; 2 grandchildren; and his brother, Robert Brown (Patricia), of Maryland.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his sister, Elizabeth Gorman.
