JoAnn L. Gordon, 83, of Wilmington, DE, passed away on Monday, October 27, 2025. Born in Elkton, MD, on December 11, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Otto Lawson and Ruth Gallaher Wheatley.

Mrs. Gordon loved spending time at the beach, swimming, and enjoying the beauty of the outdoors. Her warmth, kindness, and love of nature will be remembered by all who knew her.

Survivors include her children, Sharon L. Rogers (Mark) and Jack C. Gordon, Sr., both of Wilmington, DE; grandchildren, Joshua Rogers, Jonathan Rogers (Holley), Kimberly Burd (Justin), and Jack C. Gordon, Jr.; five great-grandchildren; siblings Burl "Sonny" Wheatley (Shirley), Lura Mae Wheatley (Pete), Geraldine Wheatley, Tina Cordill (Tony), Darlene Wheatley, and Jacqueline Hubbert (Fred).

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Anna L. Halcomb.

Graveside service will be held 1 PM, Friday, November 7, 2025, in Cherry Hill Methodist Cemetery, 33 Elk Mills Road, Elkton, MD 21921.
