Joan Helen Nacman, of Sheridan, WY, peacefully passed away November 9, 2023. Born in Brooklyn, NY on November 3, 1930 to the late Frederick and Helen Mason Blomquist.

Joan dedicated 34 years of her life to the field of education, working as an elementary school teacher and reading specialist. She was passionate about nurturing young minds and helping them develop a love for learning, also a lifelong member of Old Apostolic Lutheran Church.

Survivors include her siblings, Neal Blomquist (Irma), Battle Ground, WA, Charles Blomquist (Caroline), Nancy Johnston, Grace Davis, all of Duluth, MN, Kathleen Hendrickson (Ray), Woodland, WA; numerous nieces and nephews whom she loved and worried about like a mother.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Alvyn Nacman; stepmother, Evelyn Mason; siblings, Robert, John, Marian Wicht and Anne Davis.

Funeral service will be held at 11 AM, Friday, November 17, 2023 at Old Apostolic Lutheran Church, Newark, DE. Interment will be in Bay View Cemetery, Bay View, MD.
