Jean Elizabeth Rush, 92, of Elkton, MD passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Friday, February 23, 2024. Born in Perryville, MD on June 8, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Elizabeth Hickman Ryan.

Mrs. Rush retired as an Administrative Assistant for Cecil County Public Schools and had previously worked for the Federal Government. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, dancing, roller skating, and playing ball with her beloved K-9 companions.

Survivors include her daughter, Lanita Rush-Highducheck (Bob), Elkton, MD; grandchildren, Amanda Arches (Chris), and Brett Wyatt (Cortney); great-grandchildren, Caden Arches, Gracelynn Wyatt, and Mikayla Wyatt; and her K-9 companion, Tucker.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 59 years, Larry E. Rush; son, Robert Rush; and grandson, Brian Wyatt.

All services and interment will be private.
