Janet Joyce Peters, 82, of Elkton, MD passed away on Wednesday, April 15, 2026. Born in Elkton on March 1, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Howard and Mildred Kinslow Williams.

Ms. Peters retired after many years as a medical equipment assembler at Terumo, where she was known for her reliability and attention to detail. She found joy in life's simple pleasures. She loved spending time solving word search puzzles, dining out at restaurants on the weekends, and traveling to visit family. These moments brought her happiness and kept her closely connected to the people she cared about most.

Survivors include her children; Charles G. Peters, Elkton, MD, Celeste D. Cassidy, Chesapeake City, MD, and Darnell L. Peters, Lee Summit, MO, grandchildren; Ronnell, Natasha, AJ, Nicole, CJ, Thaddeus, Marcus, Walter, and Brianna, several great-grandchildren, and siblings; Lawrence Williams, Milwaukee WI, and Mildred Preyor, Trotwood, OH.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by siblings; Howard, Nathaniel, Marie, Dorothy, and Charlotte.

Funeral service will be held 3 PM, Friday, April 24, 2026, at Hicks Home for Funerals, 103 W. Stockton Street, Elkton, MD  21921, with visitation beginning at 2 PM. Interment will be private.
