Jane Harriett Caldwell, 92, of North East, MD passed away on Wednesday, February 18, 2026. Born in Wilmington, DE on January 12, 1934, she was the daughter of the late John Read and Ruth Elizabeth Hall.

Mrs. Caldwell retired from RMR in Elkton, where she worked for many years in assembly and was known for her dedication and strong work ethic. She was a faithful member of Union Community Church and found great comfort and joy in her church family. Mrs. Caldwell enjoyed spending quiet hours reading, she had a great love and compassion for all animals, but nothing brought her more happiness than time with her beloved granddaughter, Crystal, who was the light of her life.

Survivors include her son; David L. Caldwell and granddaughter; Crystal Caldwell.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband; Lamar Caldwell, brother; Richard Hall, sister-in-law; Irene Hall, brother-in-law; Royce Caldwell, and daughter in law; Kathy Caldwell.

A private graveside service will be held in Gilpin Manor Memorial Park, Elkton, MD.
