James "Jake" Ray Null, 74, of Elkton, MD passed away on Thursday, April 18, 2024. Born in Elkton on August 24, 1949, he was the son of the late Jacob and Inez Harmon Null.

Jake retired as a chemical operator in pharmaceutical manufacturing and had previously worked for Schult mobile homes. Beyond his professional endeavors he was an avid sports fan, always cheering on his favorite teams, especially the NY Yankees.

Survivors include his sister, Phyllis Hamilton (Marshall), Alaska; sister-in-law, Catherine Null, North East, MD; and caregiver and friend, Charlie Schnatz, Elkton, MD.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 18 years, Judith Johnson Mackie Null; and siblings, Sandra Null, Douglas Null, and Ernest Null.

Funeral service will be held 3 PM, Friday, April 26, 2024 at Hicks Home for Funerals, 103 W. Stockton Street, Elkton, MD 21921, with visitation beginning at 2 PM. Interment will be private in Sharps Cemetery, Fair Hill, MD.
