James Luther Hilaman, Jr., age 48, of Port Deposit, MD, passed away Thursday, June 9, 2022. Born in Coatesville, PA, on April 30, 1974, he was the son of Karen Potter Hilaman, Port Deposit, MD, and the late James L. Hilaman.

Mr. Hilaman worked as a tow truck driver for Purnell Body Shop, Elkton, MD. He enjoyed nature and traveling and spent as much time as possible at his cabin in Berkley Springs, WV. As an avid animal lover, he relished in the beautiful scenery, while enjoying the creatures of the wild.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his siblings, Lynn Pagan, Kathy Manlove, Chris Hilaman, and Titus Neal, as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, June 20, 2022, at Hicks Home for Funerals, 103 W. Stockton Street, Elkton, MD 21921, where visitation will begin at 1 p.m. Interment will be private.
