Jacqueline Ann Crum, "Jackie", 82, of Elkton, MD passed away on Wednesday, December 31, 2025. Born in Chicago, IL on May 20, 1943, she was the daughter of the late John W. and Jane E. McCarthy Joyce.

Ms. Crum was a devoted educator, lifelong learner, and compassionate friend. She graduated from Frostburg State University in 1965 with a bachelor's degree in science for Elementary Education and dedicated many years to teaching before retiring 19 years ago.  Ms. Crum was a proud member of Alpha Xi Delta National Fraternity and a founding member of the Chesapeake Alumnae Association of Alpha Xi Delta. She remained actively involved throughout her life and treasured the close bonds she shared with her sorority sisters.  A generous and caring person, Ms. Crum found great joy in helping others. She was an avid reader, a devoted dog lover, and had a deep affection for animals of all kinds. Her kindness, dedication, and warm spirit will be fondly remembered by all who knew her.

Survivors include her nephews, John Kevin Joyce, Fawn Grove, PA, and Sean Michael Joyce, Newburgh, ME.

In addition to her parents, Ms. Crum was preceded in death by her brother, John D. Joyce.

Prayer service will be held 11 AM, Monday, January 19, 2026, at Hicks Home For Funerals, 103 W. Stockton Street, Elkton, MD, 21921, with visitation beginning at 10 AM.  Burial will be private.
