Jack Bernard Sheets, 85, of Elkton, MD passed away on Tuesday, December 16, 2025. Born in Horsepen, WV on April 28, 1940, he was the son of the late Franklin and Lucille Hylton Sheets.

Mr. Sheets was a dedicated employee of General Motors, retiring after more than 30 years of service in the automotive paint shop. He took pride in his work and the friendships he made throughout his career. Above all, Mr. Sheets cherished time spent with his family. Throughout his retirement, he enjoyed working in his garden and could often be found on the golf course, a game he truly loved. Mr. Sheets was a proud member of the UAW Local in Wilmington, Delaware, and remained a loyal fan of college basketball, especially March Madness.

Survivors include his children; Sandra Sheets, Milford, DE, Gregory Sheets (Amanda), Wilmington, DE, and Steven Sheets (Tina), Elkton, MD, grandchildren; Jayme Freeman, Kayla Ross (Tim), Nicholas Sheets, Zachery Crescenzo, and Gavin Nersasian, great-grandchildren; Wyatt Sund and Harper Ross.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Sheets was preceded in death by his wife of 44 years, Arbulas Sheets, grandson; Jacob Sheets, and brothers; Kenneth, Fred, and Doug.

Graveside service will be held 11 AM, Friday, December 19, 2025, at North East United Methodist Cemetery, 101 Cemetery Road, North East, MD 21901.  A celebration in honor of Jack's life will be held at a later date.
