Hope Caryl Beach, age 99, of Elkton, MD, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Wednesday, November 9, 2022. Born in War Creek, KY, on August 26, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Esther Mueller Cooley.

In addition to being a pastor's wife, Mrs. Beach had worked as a teacher for over 25 years, but her main focus was serving the Lord and winning souls for Christ. She attended Moody Bible Institute, Chicago, IL, where she met her husband, Donald. They graduated in August of 1951, and were married on September 1 ^st in Whitewater Bible Church, where she had attended as a child. Under the Southern Highland Evangel Mission, they moved to Chapmanville, WV, to fill the position of pastor at Striker Bible Church, where they began raising their family.

An avid gardener who took joy in canning the fruits of her labor, she enjoyed reciting poetry, playing the piano, and singing old gospel hymns, especially for the Cecil County Choral Society with her husband, Donald.

Survivors include her children, Daniel Beach, Easley, SC, Deborah Cross (Timothy), Odenton, MD, David Beach (Theresa), Elkton, MD, and Dorcas Art (David), Columbus, OH; 11 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Donald Beach; her infant son; a granddaughter; three brothers; and three sisters.

Funeral service will be held 10 a.m., Saturday, November 12, 2022, at Hicks Home for Funerals, 103 West Stockton Street, Elkton, MD 21921, where visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Interment will be private in Bible Fellowship Church Cemetery, Rising Sun, MD.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Striker Bible Church, or to Crossroads Bible Church, in care of the funeral home at the above address.
