Helen J. Lamiet, age 91, of Kennett Square, PA, passed away Saturday, October 30, 2021. Born in Newark, DE on October 30, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Leo A. and Dorothy Aiken Jezyk.

Mrs. Lamiet was a graduate of the Memorial Hospital School of Nursing in 1952. She went on to work as a Registered Nurse until retiring in 1993. A member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church since 1958, and Canterbury Garden Club. With her first husband, Elmo Troiani (The Caller), they formed "The First State Squares", a square dance club. Helen was a woman of many talents and was often referred to as "Martha Stewart" by friends and neighbors. She was a seamstress, upholsterer, barber, baker, interior decorator, loved gardening, and anything to help others.

Survivors include her children, Michael E. Troiani (Carol Longacre), Elkton, MD; step-son, John D. Lamiet (Erika Geimonen), Wilmington, DE; daughter-in-law, Joyce Troiani, Chesapeake City, MD; brothers, Albert L. Jezyk, Landenberg, PA, Frank A. Jezyk, Townsend, DE; grandchildren, Phoebe and Jordan (Megan) Troiani, Valentino (Kim) Troiani, Sarah (John) Tantinarawat, David and James Lamiet, Bianca Kunkel, and Jude and Denise Canova; niece, Laura Geiman; and nephew Albert Jezyk.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Lamiet was preceded in death by her husband, John Lamiet; son, Valentino J. Troiani; and step-daughter, Sue Lamiet.

A funeral service will be held Thursday, November 11, 2021, at 11 a.m., at Ebenezer United Methodist Church, 525 Polly Drummond Hill Road, Newark, DE, where visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Interment will be private.
