Gregory Thacker, 62, of Elkton, MD passed away on Tuesday, January 7, 2025. Born in Grundy, VA on October 19, 1962, he was the son of the late Bob and Ruby Dawson Thacker.

Greg was a dedicated truck driver for Estes Express Lines in Elkton, MD for over 20 years. He had a passion for the outdoors and cherished the time spent hunting, fishing, and camping with his loved ones. His dream was to open a campground in the mountains, where he could create a special place for his family to gather and create lasting memories. Greg's heart was always full of love for his family and friends, and he took great pride in supporting them in every way possible.

Survivors include his loving wife of 41 years, Jenny Broomall Thacker; 5 daughters, Jessica Brock (Michael), Stephanie Thacker, Rebecca Thacker (TJ), Taylor Thacker, and Morgan Thacker; 10 grandchildren, Wyatt, Aiden, John, Hunter, Trentin, Dalton, Emma, Mason, Naomi, and EllyMae; and his siblings, Jimmy Thacker (Mary), Bryan Thacker (Pam), Joe Thacker (Kathy), Guy Thacker (Lisa), Donna Vermeersch (Dave), and Connie Kamit (Nick).

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Shirley Thacker.

Funeral service will be held 11 AM, Tuesday, January 14, 2025 at Hicks Home for Funerals, 103 W. Stockton Street, Elkton, MD 21921, with visitation beginning at 10 AM. Interment will be in Sharps Cemetery, Fair Hill, MD.
