Gregory Scott
Ross
December 29, 1971 – January 20, 2026
Gregory Scott Ross, 54, beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away surrounded by love. He was a deeply caring and gentle soul whose presence brought comfort, laughter, and warmth to everyone who knew him.
He had a way of making people feel seen and accepted, often putting others before himself. His heart was generous, his love was genuine, and his loyalty to the people he cared about never wavered.
One of his greatest joys was music. He loved to sing, and those who were lucky enough to hear him knew his voice was truly something special—beautiful, soulful, and unforgettable. His voice was nothing short of heavenly. He especially loved the music of Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston, and other powerful vocalists whose songs spoke to the depth of his emotions and spirit. Through music, he expressed love, pain, joy, and hope in a way only he could.
He also found happiness in the simple pleasures of life—good food, especially pizza, laughter, and being with the people he loved. These everyday joys reflected the warmth and humanity that defined him.
Above all else, he was loved—fiercely and completely—by his family and friends. Though his time with us was far too short, the impact of his kindness, humor, and spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
A service to honor and celebrate his life will be held on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Hicks Homes For Funerals in Elkton, MD. Family and friends are welcome to attend and remember a truly remarkable man who will be missed beyond words.
He will always be remembered for the love he gave so freely, the music he carried in his soul, and the light he brought into this world.
Song Dedication:
In loving memory, we dedicate a song in his honor—one that reflects his passion for music and the beauty of his voice. May the music of Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston, and the songs he loved most remind us that his spirit continues to sing on.
