Grace Malinda Pursley, 94, of Elkton MD passed away Friday, November 24, 2023.  Born in Elkton on November 26, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Leonard and Elizabeth Moore Spratt.

Mrs. Pursley, a certified nursing assistant, retired from the Cecil County Health
Department.  A member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, the Ladies Auxiliary of Union Hospital, where she assisted in the Good as New Shop, and also participated in the Red Hat Society, the Cecil County Farm Museum and Union Quilt Ladies.  Mrs. Pursley was also a supporter of Shriners Hospital for Children.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Pursley was preceded in death by her husband, William F. Pursley and her sister, Elsie Keen.

Survivors include her children, Darlene Pursley Gregg, Crisfield, MD, Ginny Simpers, Elkton, MD and William L. Pursley (Trish), Elkton; grandchildren, Dawn Selestok Rodney Blansfield, Marc Simpers, Zachary Pursley and Jessica Pursley; great granddaughters Allie and Jula Selestok and a great great grandson, Mavryk Eder.

A Christian Prayer Service will be 11 a.m., Thursday, November 30, 2023 at Hicks Home for Funerals, 103 West Stockton St., Elkton, 21921 where visitation will begin at 10 a.m.  Interment will be in Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Cherry Hill, MD.
