Grace Frances Peterson, age 91, of Elkton, MD, passed away Friday, October 20, 2017. Born in Chesapeake City, MD, on September 21, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Susan Camp Dixon.

Mrs. Peterson retired from J.J. Newberry's, Elkton. She enjoyed reading her Bible, sewing and cooking.

Survivors include her children, James Peterson, Gary Peterson, Cheryl Everett and Sharon Sutton and husband, Glenn; 9 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren, including Sierra Peterson whom she raised; and a great-great-grandson.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Peterson was preceded in death by her husband, Wallace P. Peterson; son, Gale "Pete" Peterson; and all of her siblings.

Funeral service will be held 11 a.m., Wednesday, October 25, 2017, at Hicks Home for Funerals, 103 W. Stockton Street, Elkton, MD, where visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Interment in Gilpin Manor Memorial Park, Elkton.
