Gladys Louise Wright, 77, of Elkton, MD, passed away Thursday, October 27, 2022. Born in Coalwood, WV on February 22, 1945, she was the daughter of the late Vernon and Margaret Miles Kirk.

Mrs. Wright spent most of her days working for the family business, Wright's Deli, in Elkton. Her family was very near and dear to her, and she cherished spending time with them. She loved to travel, but sometimes her favorite journey was just a short drive to Delaware Park, or Hollywood Casino to play the slots.

Survivors include her children, Karan Leas (David), Chesapeake City, MD, Shelley Pawley (David), Vernon Wright, Gary Wright (Carol), and Larry Wright, all of Elkton; siblings, Linda Cook (Cecil), Lisa Upchurch, Leslie Simpers, Bobby Kirk, Phyllis Steward, and Timmy Kirk; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandson.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Larry Wright; daughter, Debbie Monroe; daughter-in-law, Michelle Wright; and sisters, Pat, and Janie Wright.

Graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 2, 2022, at Union Cemetery, Elkton, MD.
