George William Taylor, 77 of Elkton, MD passed away on Tuesday, March 17, 2026. Born in Ceres Township, PA on November 21, 1948, he was the son of Beulah Moore Taylor and the late Glenn Taylor.

Mr. Taylor was a retired building superintendent. He was known for his strong work ethic and dedication throughout his career. Mr. Taylor found great joy in life's simple pleasures, especially fishing, tending to his garden, and traveling to new places. Above all, he cherished moments with his family, who will remember him for his kindness, quiet strength, and unwavering love.

Survivors include his loving wife of 54 years, Grace E. Everett Taylor; children; Scott A Taylor (Jeanne), Port Deposit, Karen E. Taylor, Benson, NC, Christine R. Hassell (David), Elkton, MD, grandchildren; Jacob, Joshua, Samuel, Kimberly, Stephen, Kaitlyne, Ethan, Reagan and Parker, great-grandchildren; Hudson, Wylie and Blakely, siblings; Kathy Kist (Rudy), Cleveland, TN, Linda Murphy (Tim), Seneca, SC, Terry Taylor (Denise), Conowingo, MD, Judy Sprout (Tim), Four Oaks, NC and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his sister; Sharon Batteé and brother-in-law; Ralph Batteé.

Funeral service will be held 1 PM, Tuesday, March 24, 2026, at Hicks Home for Funerals, 103 W. Stockton Street, Elkton, MD 21921, with visitation beginning at 12 PM. Interment will be in Elkton Cemetery, Elkton, MD.
