Genevieve Louise Crouse, age 91, of Elkton, MD, passed away Thursday, December 29, 2022. Born in Elkton on March 21, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Mary Evans Spratt.

Mrs. Crouse retired from Union Hospital where she worked as a cook. A loving mother and grandmother, she cherished spending time with her family. She enjoyed cooking, baking, and watching her soap operas.

Survivors include her children, Lana Rohrbaugh and Sherry Nickler (Dave), all of Elkton, MD, Larry Crouse (Chris), Chesapeake City, MD, Charles Crouse (Jane) and Kelley Snyder (Michael), all of Fair Hill, MD, and Amma Smith (Sam), Rockledge, FL; grandchildren, Earl Dean Stoner, Kimberley Chriscoe (Moses), Larry Crouse, Jr., Tina Jones (Frank), Autumn Marquess (Steve), Season Parlier (Shane), Greg Schnell (Shannon), Angie Rutherford (Matt), Holly Hamilton (Eric), Eric Nickler (Shannon), Michael Snyder (Katie), Savannah Snyder, and Gannon Snyder; great-grandchildren, Noah Chriscoe, Elijah Chriscoe, Callie Crouse, Riley Crouse, Sydney Jones, Tyler Jones, Tanner Marquess, Travis Marquess, Addyson Marquess, Scarlett Parlier, Javier Parlier, Hailey Malone, Amy Ferguson, Austyn Hamilton, Ava Nickler, Kylee Nickler, Kadin Snyder, and Kendle Snyder; great-great grandchildren, Phillip and Billy; and sister, Billie Hubbert (Steve), Elkton, MD.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne C. Crouse, and sisters, Lorraine Andrews, Phyllis Hutchinson, and Shirley Ann Devine.

Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m., Thursday, January 5, 2023, at Hicks Home for Funerals, 103 West Stockton Street, Elkton, MD 21921, where visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in Cherry Hill Methodist Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital; or to Mount Aviat Academy, in care of the funeral home at the above address.
