Gary Dwight Carroll, 75, of North East, MD passed away on Sunday, August 3, 2025. Born in Elkton, MD on January 5, 1950, he was the son of the late Donald and Virginia Pippen Carroll.
Gary married the love of his life, Patty, eight years ago during a beautiful ceremony in the Bahamas. Together, they shared 25 wonderful years filled with love. He proudly worked as a boilermaker in the welding industry and was a dedicated member of the Boilermakers Local Lodge 13 in Philadelphia, PA. An avid outdoorsman, Gary loved crabbing and hunting waterfowl. He especially cherished traveling to the Caribbean, where he created many treasured memories. A loyal sports fan, he always rooted for his beloved Baltimore Orioles and Ravens. More than anything, Gary loved spending time with his family, who fondly referred to him as "Gramps". He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Survivors include his loving wife, Patty Carroll; daughters, Amy Reynolds (Harry), North East, MD, and Melanie Gutierrez (Mario), Philadelphia, PA; grandchildren, Madison McMullen (Paul Jr.), Allie Reynolds, and Rosario Gutierrez; and great-granddaughter, Maxine McMullen.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Jimmy Carroll.
Funeral service will be held 12 PM, Monday, August 11, 2025 at Hicks Home for Funerals, 103 W. Stockton Street, Elkton, MD 21921, with visitation beginning at 10 AM. Interment will be in Hart's United Methodist Cemetery, North East, MD.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Christiana Care Health System, Attn: Office of Philanthropy, to support the Helen F. Graham Cancer Center at 400 Nexus Drive, Ste W3–300, Wilmington, DE 19803.
