Florence Ann Meier Wright "Mommom Flo", 87, of Elkton, Maryland, was peacefully welcomed home by her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, November 29, 2022. Born in Wilmington, Delaware on September 11, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Carl and Anna Smith Meier.

Flo is survived by her pride and joy, her loyal "sonny boy", Tim Leflar and his wife Debbie, the loving daughter she never had; three granddaughters and their husbands that she referred to as her grandsons, Tiffany Yaiser (Michael), Meghan McGuirk (Joseph) and Katelyn Sutor (Chris); and those grandchildren filled her heart even more when they blessed her with six great-grandchildren, Baylee, Gabby and Mason Yaiser, Brennan and Everlee Sutor and Tyler McGuirk; along with many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Joseph Leflar; second husband, Lawrence Wright; two siblings, her sister, Carol Palese and brother, Buddy Meier; and a number of other close family members and friends that she considered her family along the way.

Flo was a hard worker. Many may remember her from her over thirty years at Howard's Market in North East, Maryland where she wore many hats which included store clerk, stocking shelves, keeping up with inventory, deli manager and making the best subs and cheesesteaks around. After her time at Howard's, she then followed Mr. Howard to Lindy's in Perryville, Maryland Where she worked for many years until she retired at over 80 years old. She was a devout Catholic and a member of Immaculate Conception Church in Elkton, Maryland for almost fifty years. Her strong faith helped her get through a number of hard times in her life; along with her Pride and joy, her family, which she was never shy to brag about. Flo was a true one of a kind and will be missed by many.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, December 7, 2022, at Immaculate Conception Church, 455 Bow Street, Elkton, Maryland, where visitation will be held from 9:45-10:45 a.m. Interment will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, December 9, 2022, in Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Bear, Delaware.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 502 Washington Avenue, Suite 300, Towson, Maryland 21204.

The family would also like to express their extreme gratitude to a1l of the special nurses and staff at Calvert Manor who took such great care of "Mommy Flo" over the last six months.
