Evelyn A. Jacobs, age 97, of Lewes, DE, passed away Sunday, December 25, 2022. Born in Thomasville, PA, on September 20, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Estelle Meyers Lucabaugh.

Mrs. Jacobs was a retail sales associate for Strawbridge and Clothier Department Store. She loved spending time with her family and grandchildren. Mrs. Jacobs was a classic homemaker who loved to cook and prepare for the holidays. She was a longtime member of Cherry Hill United Methodist Church, Cherry Hill, MD. Mrs. Jacobs enjoyed the outdoors and shopping trips.

Survivors include her children, Debra Crossan (Rev. Dr. Willard), Lewes, DE, and Jeffrey Jacobs (Linda), Middletown, DE; and sister, Shirley Corcoran, Hanover, PA; 5 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Jacobs was preceded in death by her loving husband of 69 years, Raymond J. Jacobs, Jr.; son, Jerome D. Jacobs; and brothers, Russell Lucabaugh and Charles Lucabaugh.

Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, January 3, 2023, at Cherry Hill Methodist Church, 33 Elk Mills Road, Elkton, MD, with visitation beginning at 10 a.m. Interment will be in Cherry Hill Methodist Cemetery.
