Evelyn Fay Gregson, 87, of Newark, DE passed away on Friday, August 28, 2026. Born in Grundy, Virginia on September 19, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Raymond E. and Blanche Muncey Matney.

Mrs. Gregson retired after serving many dedicated years at DuPont. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star #84 and the Community Church of Wilmington. Mrs. Gregson enjoyed spending her time gardening, cross-stitching, and crafting. She will be remembered for her kindness, creativity, and the love she shared with her family and friends.

Survivors include her numerous nieces and nephews who truly loved her and will miss her dearly.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 41 years; Harvey A. Gregson Jr. and sister; Lois Horton.

Graveside service will be held 10 AM, Thursday, September 3, 2026, at Gilpin Manor Memorial Park, 198 Appleton Rd, Elkton, MD 21921.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Community of Christ Church or Abbey Manor, in care of Hicks Home for Funerals, 103 W. Stockton Street, Elkton, MD 21921.
