Evelyn "Ebbie" Kay Aronson, 81, of Elkton, MD passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Saturday, February 22, 2025. Born in Elkton on September 23, 1943, she was the daughter of the late John and Reva Hinkle Johnston.

Evelyn dedicated 28 years of her career to the Cecil County Health Department, serving as an administrative assistant from 1978 to 2006, where her hard work and attention to detail made a lasting impact. Outside of work, Evelyn had a passion for crossword puzzles and word searches. She was also an avid animal lover, particularly of her dog, Myka, and had a special fondness for hummingbirds, which always brought her a sense of peace and joy.

Survivors include her children, Lisa Edmanson (Terry), and Ray Aronson III, both of Elkton, MD; grandsons, Justin Blankenship and Bradley Aronson; great-granddaughter, Kasey Blankenship; and her siblings, Bruce Johnston (Cathy), and Sue Johnson, both of Elkton, MD.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Herman Aronson Jr.; and her siblings, Arnold, Bill, Emma Lou, and Marian.

Celebration of Life will be held from 1 PM - 4 PM, Sunday, April 6, 2025 at the Elkton VFW, 208 W. High Street, Elkton, MD 21921.
