Elizabeth "Betty" J. Lane, 86, a lifelong resident of Elkton, MD, passed away on October 6, 2023. Born on April 17, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Edward Herman and Elizabeth "Daisy" Paris Fischer.

Mrs. Lane was a homemaker and in her spare time she had been a Tupperware Representative.

Survivors include her children, Dr. Richard A. Lane (Cindy), Oak Island, NC, Rory A. Lane (Tina), Robin A. Cragle (Andy), Rhonda A. Shultz (Brian), and Regina A. Lane, all of Elkton, MD; sixteen grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren; sisters, Nancy Caldwell and Mary Rea, both of Elkton, MD.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 42 years, Howard A. Lane; daughter, Renette A. Lane; and her brother, Eddie Fischer.

Funeral service will be held at 11 AM, Friday, October 13, 2023 at Hicks Home for Funerals at 103 W. Stockton St., Elkton, MD 21921, where visitation will begin at 10 AM. Interment will be in St. John's United Methodist Cemetery, 595 Lewisville Rd., Elkton.
