Edwin Franklin Pearthree, Jr., 81, of Elkton, MD passed away Saturday, November 11, 2023. Born in Cambridge, MD on February 27, 1942, he was the son of the late Edwin F., Sr. and Estella Hoffman Pearthree.

A U.S. Air Force veteran, Mr. Pearthree was a Russian Linguist for the Intelligence Service in Germany during the Cold War. He retired as a Construction Superintendent specializing in bridge construction and had been a member of the American Legion Mason Dixon Post 194 in Rising Sun, MD. Well known for his wit and sarcasm, he enjoyed fishing and time spent on his porch watching the birds.

Survivors include his children, Linda Pearthree (Tina), Edwin Pearthree (Anne), all of Chesapeake City, MD, Anja Rosemayer (Wolfgang), Germany; grandson, Benjamin Rosemayer; siblings, Mary Lovelace, Pamplin, VA, and John Pearthree (Tina), Elkton, MD.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 56 years, Heidi Graf Pearthree, and brother, Samuel Pearthree.

Funeral services will be private.
