Edna Blanch Smith, 88, of Elkton, MD passed away on Friday, June 20, 2025. Born in Earleville, MD on May 11, 1937, she was the daughter of the late John and Blanch Matthews Edmundson.

Edna devoted her life to caring for her family, creating a warm and welcoming home filled with love and tradition. In addition to raising her family, she worked as a housekeeper for over 30 years. She was a member of Maranatha Baptist Church, where she found strength, fellowship, and joy. Edna also found great joy in life's simple pleasures, such as canning and spending time outdoors in her garden.

Survivors include her loving husband of 68 years, Harold Smith; children, David Smith, Elkton, MD, Lois Price, Chesapeake City, MD, and Mark Smith, Elkton, MD; 6 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Jeanette Marshall, Eleanore Reed, and Joan Booth.

Funeral service will be held 2:30 PM, Thursday, June 26, 2025 at Hicks Home for Funerals, 103 W. Stockton Street, Elkton, MD 21921, with visitation beginning at 1:30 PM. Interment will be in Gilpin Manor Memorial Park, Elkton, MD.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Maranatha Baptist Church at 3141 Old Elk Neck Road, Elkton, MD 21921.
