Edith Delores Price, age 77, of Elkton, MD, passed away Monday, August 8, 2011. Born on August 20, 1933, in Gladespring, VA, she was the daughter of the late George W. and Sally Price Eller.

Mrs. Price retired from Union Hospital, and previously had worked for Cecil County Public Schools. She was a member of The Church of Christ, and loved reading and word search puzzles.

Survivors include her children, Donna Peterson and husband, Gary, James Price, Charlie Price and wife, Diane, Sherry Hodgson, all of Elkton, MD, Margaret Wyatt and husband, Teddy, Rising Sun, MD, and Brenda Barthel and husband, Gary, Port Deposit, MD; siblings, Mary Manuel, TN, Bertha Lee Whitaker, PA, Juanoka Lumpkin, WV, and Ernest Eller, VA; very special friend and sister-in-law, Elaine Eller, Meadowview, VA; 12 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Price was preceded in death by her husband, Emmett E. Price; daughter, Nancy "Kathy" Bowles; and siblings, Graham, Mac, Glenn, Harry, R.C., and Perry Eller, Becky Collins, Blanche Eastridge, Pearl Jovenall and Beatrice Thomas.

Funeral service will be held 2 p.m., Friday, August 12, 2011, at Hicks Home for Funerals, 103 W. Stockton St., Elkton, MD, where visitation will begin at 1 p.m. Interment will follow the service in The Church of Christ Cemetery, Elkton, MD.
