Dorothy V. Lavin, age 90, of Claymont, DE, passed away Sunday, October 31, 2021. Born in Pennsylvania on June 10, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Stephen G. and Jeanette Ulkowski Vavra.

Mrs. Lavin retired from Verizon after 30 years of service. She was a member of the Telephone Pioneers and enjoyed crafts, sewing, and knitting.

Survivors include her daughter, Karen D. Riding (Geoffrey), St. Marys, GA, and step-daughter, Elizabeth M. Lavin, Aston, PA.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Lavin was preceded in death by her loving husband of 58 years, John H. Lavin; son, John D. Lavin; and brother, George S. Vavra.

Graveside service will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, November 5, 2021, at Lawn Croft Cemetery, 1000 W. Ridge Road, Linwood, PA.
