Donna Jane Deel, 79, of Rising Sun, MD passed away on Wednesday, July 15, 2026. Born in Lewistown, PA on March 13, 1947, she was the daughter of the late James and Alice Woy McMullen.

Mrs. Deel devoted her life to her home and family. She enjoyed taking trips to the casino and relaxing at the beach. Most of all she treasured the time she spent with her family and lasting memories she created with them.

Survivors include her children; Patty Connell (John), Rising Sun, MD, Kim Brown (Thad), Rising Sun, MD and Shelly Fletcher (Kenneth) Salisbury, MD, grandchildren; Andrew Durkin (Krissy), Christopher Weber, Joseph Weber (Emma), Reagan Connell, Jason Deel, Karalyn Miller (Kyle), Bryce Brown (Abby), Aydon Brown, Aubrey Brown, Thayne Brown, Brandon Fletcher, and Gavin Fletcher (Maria), great-grandchildren; Theo, Levi, Kahlia, Klayton and Colson, sister; Judy Brown, and daughter-in-law; Katherine Deel.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband; Freddie Deel Sr., son; Freddie Deel Jr., and siblings; Dolan McMullen Sr., Susan Bowersox, Luella Long, Mel McMullen, John McMullen Sr., Shirley Biddle, Faye McMullen and Ruie Huffnagle.

Funeral service will be held 11 AM, Monday, July 20, 2026, at Hicks Home for Funerals, 103 W. Stockton Street, Elkton, MD, with visitation beginning at 10 AM. Interment will be in Rosebank Cemetery, Rising Sun, MD.
