Donna Jean Calhoun Wood, 67, of Newark, DE passed away Monday, July 17, 2023.  Born in Wilmington, DE on July 19, 1955, she was the daughter of the late Theodore, Sr. and Edith Arnold Calhoun.

Mrs. Wood was the owner of Service Trucking Inc., formerly Wood Milk Service, where she enjoyed helping run her business. She loved animals, especially her Golden Labs.

Survivors include her nephew, Ronald Lynam, Jr., his wife, Victoria, and their children, Olivia and Madison; all of Bear, DE, and many extended family members.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Wood was preceded in death by her husband of 38 years, James W. Wood; and siblings, Theodore Calhoun, Jr. and Peggy M. Lynam.

Funeral service will be held 11 A.M., Monday, July 24, 2023, at Hicks Home for Funerals, 103 W. Stockton St., Elkton, MD, where visitation will begin at 10 A.M.  Private interment will be in Cherry Hill Methodist Cemetery, Cherry Hill, MD. Per Mrs. Wood's request, she asked that anyone attending her service to dress casually.
