Dennis Philip Kemether, of Newark, DE, passed away March 24, 2023. Born in Wilmington, DE in 1939, he was the son of the late Norman W. Kemether and Wilma Edwards Franklin.

Dennis was a long-time farmer, construction worker, business owner and maintenance supervisor.

Survivors include his loving wife of 63 years, Susan Spratt Kemether, children; Kimberly S. D'Andrea (Kenneth), and D. Philip Kemether II (Christine); grandchildren, Matteo D'Andrea, Dennis III, Elizabeth, and Owen Kemether; and sister, Charlotte Jean Stoddard.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Kemether was preceded in death by his brother, Norman W. Kemether, Jr.; and his sister, Carol Ann Russell.

Thanks to the Doctor, aide, and nurses of Accent Care/ Seasons Hospice for all their support.Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Thursday, March 30, 2023 and 9:30 to 10 AM Friday, March 31, 2023, at Hicks Home for Funerals, 103 W. Stockton Street, Elkton, MD  21921. Funeral service will begin at 10 a.m., Friday, at Hicks Home for Funerals. Interment will be private in White Clay Creek Church Cemetery, Newark, DE.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The Shriners Hospital for Children, or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, in care of Hicks Home for Funerals, at the above address.
