Dawn Vivian (Denisar) Lacey, 56, of Newark, DE passed away on Saturday, August 3, 2024, just six days short of her 57th birthday after a long battle with kidney cancer. Born in Chester, PA on August 9, 1967, she was the daughter of Dale and Vivian Denisar, Newark, DE.

Dawn grew up in Aston, Delaware County, PA before moving with her family to the Panama Canal Zone in 1974. After returning to the states, the family settled in Newark, Delaware, with Dawn graduating from Ursuline Academy in 1985. She worked in accounting at various firms in Delaware before and after a stint in the Army. Dawn enjoyed painting, arts & crafts, the outdoors, fishing and going to the family cabin in the Pennsylvania mountains. She also was a passionate animal lover, leaving behind her two dogs, Stella and Sammy.

The family wishes to thank Dawn's hospice nurses for their compassionate and dedicated care.

Survivors include her loving husband of 21 years, Glenn Lacey, Newark, DE; brother, Robert (Diana), niece, Sara; nephew, Cole; great-niece, Viviana; uncles, Joe, John, and Jeff; aunts, Lisa and Georgie; and cousins, Robert IV, Dave, Jessie, Becky, Hannah, and Zachary.

Prayer service will be held 2 PM, Thursday, August 15, 2024 at Hicks Home for Funerals, 103 W. Stockton Street, Elkton, MD 21921, with visitation beginning at 1 PM. Interment will be private.
