David Albert Heath Sr., 78, of Rising Sun, MD passed away on Wednesday, April 29, 2026. Born in Mullins, West Virginia, he was the son of the late Albert Heath and Ruth Walker Stetson.

Mr. Heath was a retired forklift mechanic, known for his hard work and dedication to his trade. He had deep love for drag racing and all things automotive. Mr. Heath was also affectionately known as the "Cat Rescue," he took it upon himself to care for neighborhood cats, making sure they were fed, safe, and looked after. His compassion for animals reflected his generous spirit and willingness to help wherever he could.

Survivors include his loving wife of 57 years; Margaret Ann Zdrojewski Heath; children; Tracy Varnes (Allen), Middletown, DE, Kerrie Stafford (Jeff), North East, MD, Albert Heath (Vas Bailey), San Francisco, CA, nine grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, siblings; Kenny Heath, Elkton, MD, Tommy Heath (Gloria), Cecilton, MD, and Nancy Carter (Rick), Atlanta, GA.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by son; David Heath Jr.

A celebration of life will be held 5PM, Saturday, June 27, 2026, at the Heath Residence.
