Daniel William Diebold, 80, of Elkton, MD passed away on Friday, April 24, 2026. Born in Lockport, NY on March 30, 1946, he was the son of the late Bruce W. and Ruth Groff Diebold.

Mr. Diebold was a retired electrical contractor, where he was known for his strong work ethic and dedication to his trade throughout his career. He had a lifelong love of baseball and softball, both as a player and as a supporter of the game. Mr. Diebold generously gave his time as a Little League umpire, helping to guide and encourage young athletes in his community. In his free time, he enjoyed hunting and spending time outdoors. Mr. Diebold was also a devoted member of Immaculate Conception Church.

Survivors include his loving wife of 60 years; Carolyn J. Jones Diebold, children; Shane D. Diebold and Shannon L. Brown (Doug), three grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, sister; Diane Johnson (Bill) and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by brothers; Raymond and Tom, and granddaughter; Emilee Diebold.

A celebration of life service will be held 11 AM, Saturday, June 27, 2026 at Immaculate Conception Church, 454 Bow Street, Elkton, MD 21921.
