Cynthia "Cindy" Louise Jones, 63, of Earleville, MD passed away on Saturday, April 5, 2025. Born in Wilmington, DE on January 25, 1962, she was the daughter of Garland "Woody" Taylor, New Castle, DE and the late Eleanor Havens Taylor.

Cindy previously worked as the Seafood Manager at Giant Supermarket before joining W.L. Gore as an assembler, where she continued until her well-deserved retirement. She had a love for the ocean and enjoyed spending time fishing and being at the beach, where she found peace and joy. Her adventurous spirit extended beyond the water as she also loved the thrill of riding on the back of a motorcycle. Above all, Cindy enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. She treasured creating lasting memories that will remain in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her, and she will be deeply missed by all.

In addition to her father, survivors include her children, ToniAnne Padovani (Chris Hougentogler), Elkton, MD, William "Bo" Matherly IV (Karri McMillan), Earleville, MD, and Kristy Jones, Elkton, MD; grandchildren, Kayson Barbato, Antonio Padovani, Trevor Frey, Macy Brown, and Addyson Miller; and her siblings, Michael Taylor, Fair Hill, MD, Sheila Summerfield (Kevin), New Castle, DE, Donna Shahan, Newark, DE, and Cheryl Shahan (Carl), Clayton, DE.

In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her sister, Connie Murphy; and nephew, Jason Taylor.

Memorial service will be held 11 AM, Monday, April 21, 2025 at Hicks Home for Funerals, 103 W. Stockton Street, Elkton, MD 21921, with visitation beginning at 10 AM. Interment will be private.
