Christopher Allen Bello age 53, of Elkton, MD, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family, Saturday, December 21, 2024. Born in Elkton, on April 28, 1971, he was the son of the late John M. and Eloise R. Childress Bello.

Chris was a dedicated fan of NASCAR, he held a special place in his heart for Jeff Gordon, following his career with enthusiasm and pride. He was also a lifelong Washington Redskins fan, often seen donning team gear and passionately cheering on his favorite football team. Christopher was known as the "Mayor of Holly Hall" where he was known for wheeling around the neighborhood talking to whoever was outside and sharing a beer with his friends. His favorite movies were Shawshank Redemption and Back to the Future 1,2, & 3, all of which he could recite word for word. He loved woodworking and listening to Mariah Carey.

Survivors include his siblings, Anna Fitzwater, North East, MD, Cheryl A. Gee (Glenn), Elkton, MD, John M. Bello, Jr. (Debbie), Hockessin, DE, and Tina L. Fischer (Jim), Merrimack, NH; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Pete Fitzwater.

Funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m., Thursday, December 26, 2024, at Hicks Home for Funerals, 103 W. Stockton Street, Elkton, MD  21921, where visitation will begin at 12:30 p.m. Interment will be in Gilpin Manor Memorial Park, Elkton.
