Charles David Racine Jr., 84, of Elkton, MD passed away on Thursday, April 9, 2026. Born in Elkton, MD on September 16, 1941, he was the son of the late Charles D. and Laura V. Davis Racine.

Mr. Racine retired from ATK/Northrup Grumman, and was co-owner of the Garden Stable in Elkton with his brother and wife until the early 80's. He enjoyed gardening, especially traveling with his Hosta collection with his son, Todd, music, camping at Tom's Cove Park on Chincoteague, and crabbing on occasion with his sons and grandsons. Mr. Racine was the drummer/lead singer for Scotty and the Rockets along with his brothers, Gene and Doug (backup drummer), and Scott Smith. His nephews Shane and Chad would join them on occasion amongst many other talented musicians and singers for over 40 years. Mr. Racine enjoyed spending time with his family over the holidays and special events. He especially enjoyed playing store keeper and patient with his great granddaughter, Ava. His unique and whimsical personality will be sorely missed by all that had a chance to meet him.

Survivors include his loving wife of 63 years, Luna A. Hendrickson Racine, children; Charles "Chuck" D. Racine III and Todd S. Racine (Patti), six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, a great-great-granddaughter, siblings; Doug Racine (Lois), David Racine (Tara), and sister-in-law; Janie Racine.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother; Harry "Gene" Racine.

A private funeral service was held. Interment was in North East Methodist Cemetery.
