Chad Everett Hilaman, 49, of Elkton, MD passed away on Friday, March 29, 2024. Born in Elkton on March 13, 1975, he was the son of Susan L. Church Hilaman and the late Robert E. Hilaman.
Mr. Hilaman had been a certified welder. Outside of his profession, Chad had a zest for life that was contagious. He found joy in the simple pleasures, particularly in his love for western movies. His smile was a beacon of light to all who knew him. Above all else, Chad was a devoted family man who treasured his children and grandchildren dearly. He had a compassionate heart and a deep connection with animals, especially dogs, whom he considered cherished companions. Chad also loved sports, especially football. From his childhood days as a mischievous prankster to his daring adventures as a daredevil, he lived life to the fullest.
In addition to his mother, survivors include his children, Brianna Hilaman, Elkton, MD, Chad E. Hilaman, Jr. (Rebecca Ray), North East, MD, and Wiley Hilaman, Elkton, MD; grandchildren, Amiyah, Alayah, and Hayden; siblings, Candi Franks (Samuel), Pembroke, GA, and Russell Hilaman (Wendy), Elkton, MD; and fiance, Lindsay Askin.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brother, Robbie Hilaman; nephew, Joseph Franks; and niece, Piper Franks.
Funeral service will be held 2 PM, Friday, April 5, 2024 at Hicks Home for Funerals, 103 W. Stockton Street, Elkton, MD 21921, with visitation beginning at 1 PM. Private interment will be in Rosebank Cemetery, Calvert, MD.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hicks Home for Funerals, P.A. at the above address to help defray funeral expenses.
