Obituary

Carol Hepbron Tinney, 80, of Lincoln, DE passed away on Saturday, April 6, 2024. Born in Wilmington, DE on October 17, 1943, she was the daughter of the late William Jr. and Thelma Cole Hepbron.

Mrs. Tinney retired as a loan officer in the banking industry. Beyond her professional pursuits, she found joy in various creative endeavors, with crafting being a particular passion of hers. Mrs. Tinney was also an active member of the Old Kent chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution (D.A.R.).

Survivors include her daughter, Christine Given (Charles), Hockessin, DE; granddaughters, Melissa Morris (Matthew Harding), Caitlin Morris (Joseph Hendler), and Amanda Morris; great-granddaughter, Nova Grace Harding; and siblings, Nancy Ash (Steve), Elkton, MD, and Susan Schaar (Gerald), Newark, DE.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 18 years, Robert Tinney; and brother, William Hepbron, III.

Graveside service will be held 1 PM, Thursday, April 11, 2024 at Christ Church I.U. Cemetery, 25328 Lambs Meadow Road, Worton, MD 21678.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Attn: Memorial Giving at 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
