Calva B. Thompson, 97, a former resident of Glen Farms, touched the hand of Jesus on Saturday, October 29, 2016. Born in Crumpton, MD on February 12, 1919, she was the daughter of the late Howard M. and Ellen H. Jones.
A homemaker, Mrs. Thompson was a member of Union United Methodist Church. She enjoyed taking care of her home and family, baking and reading.
Survivors include her children, Fay Ellen Morgan, Elkton, MD, G. Keith Thompson and wife, Mary Ann, Rising Sun, MD and Sharon T. Williams and husband, Tom, Elkton, MD; grandchildren Melissa F. Kline, Brian C. Morgan, Mickey K. Thompson, Angela M. Cain and Scott T. Williams and great grandchildren, Joshua, Nathan, Sadie, Andrew, Landon, Natalie, Declan, Keegan, Jacob and Daniel.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Thompson was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, J. Leon Thompson Jr. and son-in-law, Jim Morgan.
Funeral service will be held 11 a.m., Wednesday, November 2, 2016 at Hicks Home for Funerals, 103 W. Stockton Street, Elkton with visitation beginning at 10 a.m. Interment will follow the service in Union Cemetery.
