Beverly Harrison Tozer, 79, of Elkton, MD passed away Sunday, November 19, 2023. Born in Independence, MO on December 21, 1943, she was the daughter of the late John Oscar Harrison and Virginia Elizabeth Schwalje.

Beverly retired as a drug and alcohol counselor. After retirement she spent numerous days substitute teaching at CCPS elementary schools. Bev enjoyed visiting new places, by plane or cruise ship. Most of all, she loved Ocean City and Wildwood, NJ.

Beverly started each day with an hour of quiet prayer. Her life centered on loving God, her husband, her family, and friends. She had an aura of caring kindness that lightened the hearts of strangers. For fifteen years Bev employed Facebook to nourish countless people with her spiritual insights. She was loved by people she never met.

Survivors include her loving husband of 62 years, Gordon Tozer; children, Mark Tozer, Elkton, MD, Brian Tozer (Barbara), Wichita, KS, and Christopher Tozer (Lara), Wilmington, DE; seven grandchildren, and eight great-grand children.

In addition to her parents, Bev is preceded in death by her brother, Richard Harrison.

Funeral service will be held 4 PM, Monday, November 27, 2023 at Hicks Home for Funerals, 103 W. Stockton Street, Elkton, MD 21921, with visitation beginning at 3PM. Interment will be private.
